Open Cities Initiative (Ciudades ASI)
This program includes the integration of a city network and the development of an open government public policy framework for local governments. Our objective is to connect city leaders with more tools, resources and international networks to accelerate the development and implementation of open government strategies.
This is how we help local governments become more transparent, accountable and innovative through the development of policies and strategic case studies based that use the pillars of open government to drive city changes.
For the last 4 years, our work with various cities has resulted in the development of the Open City Law of Mexico City, the development of more citizen centered government portals for Open Data Portal, Bureaucratic Procedures (which is part of a lean government process for the more than 2,600 existing tramits) and Citizen Attention unique portals that create more agile processes and better government responses to citizen´s needs. We are very passionate on discovering how technology can help drive better communications among sectors and a better public service delivery.
Also, we have developed in collaboration with government agencies from different cities targeted case studies in areas such as public space recovery, waste management, transportation and health.
This program has been possible because of our grants given by the UK Embassy in Mexico, who has been a strategic partner to foster more open cities around Mexico.
