The global challenges we work on at a local scale are too complex to be addressed by a sole agent. We want to gather as much experience, knowledge and capabilities as possible in the development of a pilot experiment, which is why we include multiple stakeholders from different sectors in our projects right from the very first phases of its existence. We work with the government, civil society, academia and the business community to ensure multiple perspectives and understandings.
We have great experience in strategizing and facilitating these collaborative platforms, which have proven to be one of the main factors in the success of projects that allow cities to experience accelerated change and implement solutions that matter.
We believe that the only way to truly innovate urban processes, policies and tools is through ongoing experimentation and iteration. This is why all of our programs begin with pilot experiments, which allow us to test and prototype our theory of change. Within this pilot, we also include the latest innovation concepts, basing our work on the key principles of human-centered design, open innovation processes, systems thinking and exponential technologies. No idea nor concept is too far fetched for us.
We don’t simply aim at solving a symptom of a bigger problem. Our programs include a comprehensive intervention strategy that identifies and attacks the root cause. This allows for our interventions to lead to sustainable change. Such interventions include capacity building for decision-makers, culture changes, community empowerment, ecosystem strengthening, policy design, the strategic use or development of technology, the re-design of administrative processes, city-level international knowledge transfer platforms and the implementation of specific case studies to take the concepts developed to the field and measure their impact on peoples’ lives.
Do you have a technology or strategy you would like to test? Are you interested in organizing a workshop to help your organization understand new technologies? Is there a problem in your community you need help solving? Are you just curious to know how we could work together?
